Your royalties data are a gold mine of business insights, and Tone makes it easy for your whole team to uncover those insights in our comprehensive charts. In this article, we’ll show you how to navigate the Insights Dashboard to dig into the sales that have been included in royalty periods.

Use the Insights dashboard to explore and understand the sales, costs and recoupment activity that have been calculated and processed as part of any royalty period in Tone. If you are currently in-between royalty periods, this page will not show any sales or cost data that is pending. Once your next royalty periods are ready for review, check the “include in-process data” box to include that new data. Otherwise, it will show up once you approve the royalty period

Let’s get into it!

Log in to Tone and click on the Insights tab. The first view you get in this page is your total sales across all royalty periods you’ve processed with Tone.

You can adjust the amount of data you see here using settings like Units (Dollars or Streams), Time Interval, and Date Range. Check Include in-process data to show data from any unapproved royalty periods.
