The first email you will receive from Tone is an invitation to set up your account, after your label has instructed us to invite you. It will look like this:
If you don’t activate and set up your account, we can’t pay you the royalties that you’re owed!
If you have activated your account but not entered the banking or tax information, you will be sent a reminder email like this:
The next email you receive from us will be notifying you that your bank account was successfully connected or that there was an issue with your tax information (for example, you entered your personal name instead of your business name on your W9 form). Those emails will look like this:

This step is very important, because without verified tax information, we can’t pay you the royalties that you’re owed!
After you have set up your account and become verified (meaning, we can pay you), we will then begin making payments to you after your label has approved and funded your royalty statements. When your label has published your royalty statement, we’ll let you know like this:
