📧 Understanding Tone Email Notifications

Emails can be annoying, we know! We try not to bug you unless it’s very important. Most of our emails are designed to ensure your account is secure and, most importantly, that you get paid.

1. The Invite Email ✉️

This is the very first email you’ll receive. It is sent once your label instructs us to invite you.

• Why it matters: If you don’t click "Activate your account" and set it up, we cannot pay you the royalties you are owed!

2. Setup Reminders ⏰

If you have activated your account but haven’t finished entering your banking or tax details, we’ll send you a gentle nudge.

• Action required: Follow the link in the email to complete your Payee Settings so your account is ready for payouts.

3. Verification Updates ✅

After you submit your details, our Finance team reviews them. You will receive one of two emails:

• Success: Your bank account is successfully connected.

• Action Needed: There was an issue with your tax info (e.g., a name mismatch on your W-9).
