At Tone, we know how important it is for artists to receive their payments promptly. Here is the path your royalties take to get to your bank account.
Before we can send any funds, we need to verify your account. It only takes a few minutes!
Once your info is in, we wait for your label to "crunch the numbers." This involves calculating sales against costs, advances, and collaborator splits. We work closely with labels to make this as smooth as possible.
After your royalty statement has been calculated and published in your Tone account, your label will initiate the payment.
💸 Transfer fees may apply depending on the payment method and your location. These are deducted from your payout before funds reach your account. See Tone Payment Processing Fees for a full breakdown.
🧾 Do I need to send an invoice? No. Tone doesn't need an invoice from you to pay your royalties: once your payment and tax details are set up and your statement is published, your label starts the payment. If your label has separately asked you for an invoice, check with them directly.
