🏦 Account Fees

💵 Collection (Funding) Fees, paid by Label

Collection fees apply when you add funds to your Airwallex wallet from an external bank account (your business’ bank account). These fees are deducted from the deposit amount, and the net amount is credited to your Airwallex wallet.

When funding your wallet, take into account any applicable fees (including funding and payout fees) so your wallet funds are sufficient to cover upcoming payouts.

Example:

If you’re a US-based company depositing $100 into your Airwallex wallet using the Fedwire method, $15 will be deducted as a wire fee, and $85 will be credited to your Airwallex wallet.

Tone Tip: We recommend using ACH to avoid the fees associated with Wire transfers, unless you have time-sensitive payouts to make. ACH transfers typically take 2-3 days for the funds to reach your account, whereas Wire transfers typically take 0-1 days.

💸 Payout Fees

Payout fees apply when funds are sent from your Airwallex wallet to an external bank account (your payee’s bank account).

Domestic Payout Fees (US to US), paid by Label

These fees are added to the amount due before processing your payments. You will need to account for these fees to ensure your wallet balance is sufficient to cover upcoming payouts after the fee is deducted.

Example:

If you’re a US-based company funding your wallet via ACH to send a $100 payout to a US-based payee who has selected the Same Day ACH method, you will fund $105.25 from your external bank account, $105 will be credited to your wallet, and the payee will receive $100.

International Payout Fees (Outside the US), paid by Payee

International Payouts incur both Payout Fees and FX Conversion Fees. These fees are deducted from the total payout amount before the funds reach your payee.

Example:

If you’re a US-based company funding your wallet via ACH to send out a $100 payment to a SEPA-based payee, you will fund $100.25 from your external bank account. $100 will be credited to your wallet, after the $0.25 ACH funding fee. After sending out the $100 payment, there is a $2 SEPA Payout Fee, and an FX Conversion Fee of 0.45% ($0.44). The payee will receive $97.56 USD converted to EUR with the prevailing rate. If the payee’s bank charges any additional fees, these will be in addition to the fees describe above.
