How to access Tone AI :tone-ai:

Tone AI provides comprehensive assistance for understanding and analyzing your music contracts, catalog data, and financial information. To access it, open any contract detail panel and click on the “sparkle icon” :tone-ai: near the Contract Name. This will be available on any contract except Summaries or a Mechanical Contracts.

Accessing Help Documentation

• Answers "How-to" questions regarding Contract management.

Retrieving Contract Details

• Fetches and reports the currently configured values from the Contract Details form, such as the contract's end date, type (e.g., profit share), payee, sales rates, cost rates, and deductions.
• Lists other contracts that are linked to the current one.

Searching and Catalog Lookup

• Tracks: Searches for tracks using the Title, Artist Name, or ISRC.
• Contracts: Searches other contracts by Name, Role, or PayeeName. This allows you to find other contracts with the same Payee or those connected to the same catalog.
• Note: Tone AI can also search Releases and Payees.

📖 Research & Summarizing

Working with Contract Attachments

• If you attached a contract’s original PDF, Tone AI can summarize the contents of attached PDF documents.

  

• Allows you to cross-check specific information, such as comparing the configured Payee against what is listed in the attachment, or fetching specific clause wording.

• If multiple attachments exist, Tone AI will ask you to specify which one to read.

• Can summarize a specific attachment when provided with the filename.

Explaining Cross-Contracts

• Summarizes collaborator agreements for a contract by identifying which linked contracts transfer revenue to the active contract and which receive revenue from it.
• Explains the situations under which these revenue transfers are made.

Analyzing Royalty Statements

• Reads and summarizes financial data from royalty statements, helping determine the total money a contract has made, including for specific time periods (e.g., since a certain year or quarter).
• Can provide a per-period, per-track breakdown of amounts from each statement.

Running Contract Simulations

• Runs the contract simulator using either random data or specific revenue/cost inputs you request.
• Summarizes the results of the simulation.

Tips & Best Practices:

When you launch Tone AI within a contract, the contract's content serves as the context for your session. By default, the conversation history is saved with that contract.

However, if you frequently switch between different topics, using the "New chat" button is recommended. Clicking "New chat" clears the conversation history and context, which can lead to faster and higher-quality responses, as Tone AI factors in the full conversation history otherwise.
