🔍 Understanding the Sales Explorer

The Sales Explorer is your dedicated tool for deep-dive revenue analysis. It allows you to "slice and dice" your sales data to understand exactly where your income is coming from before royalties are calculated.

Key Note: The Sales Explorer focuses exclusively on Value (Earnings) rather than volume (unit counts or stream counts).

🛠️ Filtering Your Data

Click the Filters button to open a docked side panel where you can isolate specific datasets and refine your view. You can filter by:

• Sales File: View data from a specific upload.
• Artist: Isolate the revenue for a single artist.
• Track: Drill down into the performance of a specific track.
• Platform: Filter by DSP (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music).
• Configuration: View by format, such as Premium Stream, Ad-supported, Download, etc.
• Territory: Analyze performance by specific geographic regions.
• Source: Filter by the "File Source" labels you assigned in the Sales area.
• Date Range: Set a custom timeframe for your analysis, along with a Date Basis toggle for which date field to filter on.

Tone Tip: Selections in the filter panel are staged — set as many filters as you like, then click Apply to refresh the data all at once. Nothing reloads until you apply, and Reset clears your staged selections without affecting what's currently applied.

The panel also includes a Mapped / Unmapped split, letting you view only sales lines that have been matched to your catalog, or only the ones that haven't.
