🛠️ Pre-Calculation Checklist
Before you begin a royalty calculation, it is essential to ensure your data is accurate and complete. Addressing these items beforehand ensures sales revenue is not missed during the calculation process.
- Review Catalog and Contracts: Ensure all relevant data is saved. Check for common errors such as tracks not being linked to releases or contracts.
- Identify Errors: Check the Linked Release and Linked Contract columns. Any flagged errors must be resolved before proceeding.
- Address Unmapped Catalog: Ensure all sales data is mapped to the correct assets. You can manage this in two ways:
- Catalog Bulk Tools: Navigate to Manage Unmapped Catalog.
- Sales Area: Select Review New Catalog from Sales.
- Verify Setup: All catalog items relevant to the current royalty period must be correctly configured in Tone.

📈 Creating a Period Draft
Once your data is clean, you can initiate the calculation process in the Royalties Hub.
- Navigate to the Royalties area.
- In the Upcoming section, click on Create draft.
- Select a Contract Group: Choose the relevant group (e.g., Default, Priority, Monthly, or Quarterly).
- Set the End Date: The start date is automatically determined based on your last calculation (or set to "Inception" for new accounts).
- Note: If you need to change a start date from Inception to a specific date, please contact support for a manual adjustment.
- Click Next to proceed to the Sales selection screen.
