We recommend reviewing the contracts in a royalty period before publishing the period, especially if you’ve added new contracts since your last period! You can follow the steps below to complete this review:
ContractReview.mp4
- Navigate to “Royalties”.
- Select the period that is ready to review (in the “Ready to action” section).
- Click on the “Statements Generated” tile.
- There should be (1) statement for every one of your contracts. We recommend spot checking to ensure that your VIP contracts are included in this period.
- Did you sign any new artists or deals this period? If so, scan this list to verify there is a statement for that contract or artist.
If you want to dig deeper into the contracts used in your royalty period:
LabelHelpCenterContractReview.mp4
- Navigate to the statement whose contract you want to review.
- Easily locate the contract in the Contracts & Catalog tool by copy-and-pasting the name of the contract into the search bar.
- Once you’ve located the contract, you can confirm that it’s “In Use” — there will be a green label indicating this status in the top right hand corner of the contract details panel.
- You can easily see the tracks and releases connected to the contract, as well as the Sales and Cost terms applied. If anything looks incorrect, please let us know!

All sales or costs that were not connected to a contract are held in “suspense” until they can be mapped to a contract and then processed in an upcoming royalty period.
