Toneโs platform is designed to handle the entire lifecycle of your sales data, from initial upload to final payment reconciliation. Follow this end-to-end guide to upload your files, build reusable templates, and prepare your data for analytics and royalty processing.
To start, click the "Upload Sales" button. You can either browse to locate the file on your computer or use drag-and-drop functionality to begin the upload.
After upload, the file will appear in the Sales File list with a status of "Needs Info." Here youโll provide key pieces of information:
This information places the file in the Timeline view, which generates a unique row for each distinct File Source and File Source Sub-category combination.
Implementation Guidelines:
- For company-centric tracking, use distributors or platforms as your File Source.
- For client-centric tracking, use client/artist names as your File Source and service providers as Sub-categories.
Once the File Source & Report date are added, access the file's Details panel to view all sheets detected in the file (even hidden ones will show up in Tone).
