Enabling Payments with Tone

This guide will walk you through the steps you'll need to take to start paying out royalties through Tone.

🏦 Understanding Your Airwallex Wallet

To facilitate royalty payments, Tone integrates with Airwallex, a secure payment processing vendor. To set up your royalty payments in Tone, you will create a dedicated Airwallex Wallet.

This setup ensures you will remain in direct control of your funds, which are held in your business’ name until you execute a payout.

Because this wallet functions as a new bank account, you must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This ensures regulatory compliance and allows your new Tone wallet to be activated.

👤 Step 1: Airwallex Account Setup (KYC)

The first step is a brief business and identity verification process. This typically takes 10–15 minutes to complete.

1. Log in to the Tone app.
2. Navigate to Company Settings in the dropdown menu (top-right corner).
3. Click Funding Setup to begin the KYC flow.

Note: If you are not able to see the Funding Setup, your permissions may need to be updated. Please reach out to your Tone admin to update your permissions.
